E-mail Print PDF

Welcome! This page is devoted to all my projects for 463 Online Systems taught by Dr. Pargas.

Final Project: Virtual Tours

My final project is called Virtual Tours, it is basically a media delivery system that is accessible to everyone.  The concept is to be able to give guided tours of college campuses, museums, and exotic locales to anyone with a internet connection.  The tours are started by the video tour guide, and prigress through each checkpoint at some location, with descriptions, images and panoramic images at each stop.  The transitions are seamless because of a ton of use of AJAX and Web 2.0 methods.  The current state of the project includes the tour viewer and a rough example tour of Clemson.

Assignment #1: Game Project, "Checkers"

For our first real assignment we were supposed to create a game.  I made checkers, never thought it would be as hard as it was, but it looks cool.  The current version you do battle with a very simplistic AI.  But it looks cool.

Assignment #2: Database Intro, "TODO Calendar"

This assignment was a database introduction.  I made a simple TODO list with an integrated calendar that lets you update, add, view, and complete various tasks for different days and months.

Assignment #3,4: Dynamic Web Site on a Database

For this we had to create a dynamic web application that had a database back end.  We had to be able to insert, modify, and delete values from the database n the website.  I created a simple Google Maps based application that (after you register) allows you to pick locations, title them, and save them as favorites.  It uses the database for the users, as well as locations.
