| Yesterday's Brew to Release "Goodbye"
Recently I have played some shows with Yesterday's brew, Asheville''s local vintage pop group. The first show was a great success in the Hut in Woodfin North Carolina. We performed for around one hundred people, played eight songs and made some cash. It was a great experience from start to finish. Our second show was at Asheville Christian Academy's Batle of the Bands where we were one of two local bands opening the event. Recently Yesterday's Brew has been recording Goodbye a bittersweet farewell to former band member (drums) Stephan Liner. Stephan moved on to the greener pastures of film making with Gen-X studios with the full suport of all band members. Goodbye will be released this friday on Nimbit, be sure to give it a listen and support Yesterday's Brew! |

Over the weekend me and Kyle Brooks reconvened and finished "Welcome to the Labyrinth." This is a professional quality techno/dance song that may be released in album form and sold later (once we have a few more songs). It was professionally mastered by Charley Brooks, who was in charge of mastering a few Michael Jackson albums if I remember correctly. Also I released a new short techno song/idea called "Rave Out." Check out the music here. |

I am involved in the India Housing Project. The India Housing Project is a one-of-a-kind international service learning project where students from Belgium and Clemson, South Carolina work together to build houses in one of India's most impoverished regions. For the past five years, in late June, teams of students comprising one student from Clemson University and twelve or so students from ICHEC in Belgium sacrifice their summer plans to help those who need it the most. I just put the site up so check it out! |

Pacific Hi-Tech, Inc. delivered the IBM Rational Software Architect Proof of Technology class at the Aloha Technical Solutions center in Honolulu, HI on December 17th and 18th. Students from the State of Hawaii Dept. of Justice, HMSA, ISDI, and Datahouse participated in the class. Students were given instruction on UML, Model Driven Design, EJBs, Web Services, JavaServer Faces and Runtime Analysis. I was hired by PHT as a lab tech and helped all the students in their journey to become pros with RSA. Overall a good class.

Hey everybody! While on break I created some more music on my rusty rickety old piano in Hawaii, there are two songs, "Rag n Crazy" and "Tribute to Elton John." Both have that old timey sound and recording hope you enjoy! Also, in a recent collaboration with vintage pop band Yesterday's Brew, we created the song "Oceanman," a striking song with heart rending lyrics of hope! They will be premiering the acoustic verison of the song this Saturday on their website at 4:00pm. Hope to see you there! Also, you can find the two piano songs as well as a demo mockup (copyrighted) on the music page. -Josiah Hester |
